About
The Buick Century name was used on and off from 1936, and was first used to denote a Buick that could do 100mph. The sixth-generation Buick Century went on sale in 1997 as a four-door sedan that was powered by a 3.1-liter V6 gasoline engine. This version had the same underpinnings as its Buick Regal sister car, and was targeted against Japanese offerings such as the Toyota Camry. The Century had a bench seat up front, allowing three occupants. It was noted for having exceptionally soft suspension. Changes throughout the car’s life were minor and it was killed off in 2005. Haynes has an extensive range of Buick repair manuals and online maintenance procedures to suit professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our Buick Century repair manual will be able to help whether you're servicing or repairing your car.
